So, women’s day for all of you who are not aware, is one of those few days that is celebrated globally. It is that day when the entire social media is trending with hashtags like #InternationalWomenDay #WomenDay2016 #HappyWomenDay #iwd2016 #womeninbusiness
Why is it celebrated?
It is basically a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regards to divisions, whether national, ethnic, cultural or political.
This day is dedicated to the spirit of womanhood, by talking about matters that touch a woman's everyday life, personal relationships, gender issues, career, health and well-being.
SMBT Educational Trust paid a tribute to the spirit of being a woman through various activities and also decided to host an interactive session where everyone could put forward their views and perspectives freely.
All the teachers and students actively participated and made the day memorable, as everyone had an open discussion which acted as a platform to present their thoughts freely.
