5 best Medical Shows you need to binge watch..

With the rise of Netflix, binge watching has become the new norm. You spend the weekend sitting in your room, watching season after season of too many TV shows. But with so many medical TV shows out there it's important to prioritize and watch the good ones.
SMBT has listed top 5 medical shows to spend your Saturday watching (and they all are worth the watch!).

1.  ER (1994-2009)

ER is the first show that comes to mind when it comes to medical drama. Created by Michael Crichton, it is the seventh longest running scripted-TV series in the US. ER is all about staff’s personal and professional lives. It has an inventive style that brings the viewers into the fast pace world of emergency ward.
Reasons to watch:
- It has the Greatest, Bleakest, & Craziest plot twists on TV.
- The show always strives to take risks.
- It has and deals with real life medical environments.


2. Grey’s Anatomy (2005-present)

Grey’s Anatomy created by Shonda Rhimes is a smash hit, as it manages to pile romantic drama and medical cases perfectly. The show is about Meredith Grey and fellow doctors who struggle to balance their personal lives with hectic work and training schedules assigned to them.
Reasons to watch:
- Information on medical issues and absorbing medical stories.
- The emergency disaster scenes and the way the characters handle them are awesome.
- Shows hospital relationships between doctors and staff that seem real-life.


3.  Good Doctor (2013)

Good Doctor is a South Korean medical drama. It is about a man with autistic disorder, who has mentality of 10-year-old. This show has got some sort of special spark. The show has got an absolutely brilliant cast; Joo Won being the lead character does absolute justice to his character Park Shi On.
Reasons to watch:
- A lot of hospital politics and interactions.
- Very informative on autism.
- The medical issues are dealt with very realistically.


4. Scrubs (2001-2010)  

Hands down to one of the best medical sitcom. Created by Bill Lawrence, combines funny and serious scenes perfectly. It can be silly at times but does it well.
Reasons to watch:
- Actual realistic take on life in a hospital.
- Shows medical exploits and manages to shroud them in a way that viewers can still relate to it.

5. House (2004-2012) 

As a medical student ‘House’ is one of the shows you should watch. Created by David Shore, House is not all about solving medical cases but the characters in it and a new patient in every episode. It’s about how House reaches that diagnosis using unorthodox methods and not even caring that he might lose his medical license.

- House and his team tackle new medical mystery every week.
- Brilliant theories on Diagnostic Medicine.
- Amazing script which almost never fails to explain the medical jargons.
