Tales of SMBT's Fifteenth Convocation Ceremony

It was indeed a splendid day at SMBT. The walls of Teacher’s Training Institute, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences were brimming with excitement as it witnessed its Fifteenth Convocation Ceremony on Tuesday, 17th May 2016 at 11.am.
The happiness of the students dressed in their graduation robes was contagious. Immense happiness and pride masked the faces of the parents. The mentors too seemed to be filled with contentment and ecstasy.
As her name along with her grand accomplishment was announced, she got everyone’s eye and the applause. Dr. Divya Pardeshi, a student of SMBT Dental College secured ‘Dr S G Damle Gold Medal' in Pedodontics subject (UG) in Maharashtra State. It was a moment of extreme elation as she accepted her award from the honourable chief guest. She expressed her gratitude towards her mentors, family and friends who were encouraging and supporting throughout and the day couldn't be more special to her and her family. She aspires to be a great Paediatric and give her best in profession and as a citizen of her country.
The fresh graduates were also overwhelmed to realize, College, a beautiful phase of life has ended. "Studying at the benches, practicals, fests, queuing for free goodies, the list can go on and on. These are only a few of many activities that I will miss as soon as I graduate. SMBT reminded me of how much we all have grown, and how little time we have together before we officially set out in our own career path. I'll be forever indebted to SMBT" quoted a student.
The ceremony was fortunate to have esteemed presence of Honourable Chief Guest Shri Vinod Tawde (Minister, Medical Education, School Education, Sports and Youth Welfare, Higher and Technical Education, Marathi Bhasha, Cultural Affairs & Pro -Chancellor, Maharasthra University of Health Sciences, Nashik) and Honourable Prof. Dr. Deelip G Mhaisekar, Dr Kalidas Chavan and Dr Kashinath D. Garkal.
The ceremony concluded with words of motivation from the Chief Guest who congratulated the students for their success and asked them to strive for perfection.
